Description
Cotton fabric is a woven fabric made of cotton yarn; different varieties are derived due to different organizational specifications and different post-processing methods.
Cotton fabric has the characteristics of softness, comfort, warmth, moisture absorption, strong breathability, and easy dyeing and finishing. Due to its natural characteristics, it has long been loved by people and has become an indispensable basic item in life.
The main characteristics are as follows:
(1) It has good moisture absorption and breathability, and is comfortable to wear; (2) It feels soft, has a soft and simple luster; (3) It has good warmth retention and excellent wearing performance; (4) It has good dyeability, bright colors, and a complete color spectrum, but the color fastness is not good enough; (5) It is alkali-resistant but not acid-resistant. Concentrated alkali treatment can make the fiber cross-section in the fabric round, thereby improving the luster of the fabric, that is, mercerization effect (6) It has good light resistance, but long-term exposure to the sun will cause fading and strength reduction; (7) It has poor elasticity, is prone to wrinkles, and creases are difficult to recover; (8) Pure cotton fabrics are prone to mold and deterioration, but are resistant to insect infestation.
Advantages
Easy to keep warm, soft and close to the body, good moisture absorption and breathability.
Disadvantages
Easy to shrink and wrinkle, not very crisp and beautiful in appearance, must be ironed frequently when worn.
